Your user account is visible only to you, and is not public on the internet. It holds information about your user account, your membeships, your orders, etc.

Note: your user account is just your access to the site, and does not represent your membership. It does however show information about your memberships, if you have any.

If you just created your account, you probably received an email to update your password.
