Opportunity to travel “a dream come true”

Hello all, welcome to my travelblog on I Am Made In!

Bon Biní, Bienvenido, Welkom, Welcome, Benvenuto, Wilkommen!

I’m Elton, 34, from the island of Curaçao (Southern Caribbean) where I was born, raised and currently living. I grew up in a local neighbourhood just west of Otrobanda in Willemstad. I speak Papiamentu, Dutch, Spanish, English, regular Italian and some German. Curaçao is a small but unique Island. It’s not the typical Caribbean island with just sun and beaches. It has a rich and interesting history and culture. The capital, Willemstad, is on the UNESCO World Heritage.

A year in Curaçao, visits to Aruba and Bonaire

Good day everyone,

It has been a long time since I wrote on this blog; since June 2009….a year ago!

I arrived in Curacao at the end of June 2009 and started teaching in August. Since October I have my own little, second hand car and since January I’m living in my own rented apartment.
